 The day of the first dances, Miss Aloha Hula 2012, checking out the venue before actually dancing on the floor. This is the legendary Edith Kanakaole Stadium, the place where only the best get to show off their auwana and kahiko dance moves.

 The big day has finally come for the halau to depart for Hilo. This is the long awaited moment, that even I have been anxious about. We all are looking forward to a very eventful trip. Hilo has always been one of my favorite places to visit, I just love the ombiance is just right for this trip. Time to leave all the doubts behind and get the mind set for the experience of a lifetime........

Time for the Junior Prom with Aaron. What a hectic night this turned out to be. First, get dressed to take photos at Aaron's house with the prom party, then get dressed for hula rehearsal, then get dressed again for the prom at Ala Moana Hotel. Whew, now I need a nap......but it all went better then planned. Everyone had a great time....that's the main thing........

 This is the day of the senior prom. Let's get ready too go. It takes a lot to be ready for this event. Hair, makeup, dress, and all the other stuff that comes with it. Iz was a little nervous but even he made it thru. Nicole was very excited, she was pretty as ever and she also had a great time at the prom.......

There have been many hours and days of practice for the Ilima Hula Studio wahine. Now the time is drawing near for the real deal. They are approaching the final days before they leave for the experience of a life time. There dances are really coming together, their timing is much better. Now it's time to get dressed for the Merrie Monarch, the dresses are beautifully hand made and the ti leaf skirts are swaying in the breeze.....it's almost time..........
