What a week of shooting......

I'hilani at Ko Olina

Ko Olina shoreline
What a great week to shoot, the weather was pristine. The surf was up and the water was perfect. I travelled from the west side to the east side, south shore, I went everywhere with the exception of Waikiki. I enjoy shooting the beautiful things that here in Hawaii, it makes me realize that this is my home and I adore this place. It has beauty in lots of places, even some that I have yet to put on film or have shot digitally. I am slowly making my way to them..........aloha

A day at Ehukai Beach (Banzai Pipeline)

great day for a ride
All I can say is that it was a fantastic day for shooting any kind of water sport. The water was perfect for surfing, body surfing, boogie boarding and whatever your itch was. We observed was epic conditions and I was pleased with the entire experience. I was working my new gear and am enjoying every moment. It makes a difference when there is a shooting partner also. Milton gave me good advice on the camera, and it responds in fine fashion. If I could shoot every day like this I would. I can't wait for next time that I go out (tomorrow), I will be in town so look out for the next round of shooting. I can't wait .......til then.........aloha.

Big waves on the north shore....

Shark's Cove
The North shore of Oahu was experiencing some dangerous surf for the second day in a row. The air was filled with mist and lots of salt spray. The car was totally covered with a fine coating of the salty mixture. The day was also windy as heck but that didn't stop the tourist from flocking to see the waves. The were some that insisted on getting a better shot, so they wandered in front of me. To their surprise they were met by some of the exploding water. They were a mess and I had a good laugh to myself, they should follow the beach customs and not be so know it all. My friend Milton joined me and we had a pretty good time shooting waves, he also gave me good advice on the functions of my new camera equipment. I didn't disclose the fact that my camera gear had been stolen from my car about four weeks ago. I now have a new set of gear to continue my shooting with. Thanks Milton for all of your advice and I hope that we can do this again sometime soon.
